Earl “Duke” Standberry II was hatched in Lake Charles Louisiana to the parents Earl and Mazel Standberry and raised in Pecos, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in the Gulf War and is now CEO of DC Unlimited LLC, a video content production company. Since 1998, his mission has been to bring attention to the issues and stories of homeless veterans and the challenges associated with reintegration into civilian life after military service. In 2017, he founded a non-profit organization VIDEO OF VETERANS INC., a veteran’s advocacy organization focused on capturing and preserving the military history and personal stories of veterans and their families. It will provide an online platform that will deliver information and entertainment specifically produced by and targeted to veterans experiencing post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd) and other readjustment issues related to reintegration into civilian life.
Duke’s goal with THE DUKE AND CAT SHOW has been to bring attention to the talented and gifted artists and musicians that receive little notice both locally and beyond. “Duke” as he is known around the industry is the visionary and creator of such shows as The Duke and Cat Show, Walk on the Wild Side with Cat, Tucson Ladies Football Series and “Semper Fi”. He has created a an online TV Network called AZLIVETV.COM. Giving media control back to the people is Duke’s vision for AZLIVETV.
Duke and Cat are now looking for correspondents,producers, show creators and entrepreneurs that want to showcase what they have to offer to Arizona and the world. “It’s almost impossible for independent producers and individual artists to afford airtime on local commercial or network channels. Catherine “Cat” Vigil is COO of DC Unlimited LLC, and served as co-host and producer of THE DUKE AND CAT SHOW. Hailing from Loveland, Colorado, Cat also lived abroad in South America, and speaks Spanish fluently. Se habla espanol! Active in the business community, she has been an entrepreneur and consultant since 1997. She is also an ordained Interfaith Minister and regularly teaches yoga and meditation classes. Cat loves to bring people and groups together to make creative sparks fly and is a talented performer in her own right. She was also the Host/Executive Producer of the spin-off show WALK ON THE WILD SIDE WITH CAT.
Duke and Cat’s creative collaboration began in late 2008, with the formation of DC Unlimited LLC (http://www.therearenolimits.co. THE DUKE AND CAT SHOW was born out of a mutual love of the arts and of Arizona. Both have performance background – Duke in radio and voice over communications and Cat in dance, and together they have captured the Tucson scene.
The show has evolved from two talking heads and a camera to a full-blown comedy variety show and production company. Along the way, a talented cast and crew has assembled to entertain the Old Pueblo and the world. Street interviews, comedy skits, event coverage, you name it, they cover it!
